При переводе лучше идти от существительного к глаголу. Например: We share a commitment to human rights. – И вы, и мы верим в права человека. •• В современном английском языке слова commitment и commit отличаются высокой частотностью. Скажем, в короткой статье в газете The Independent они встречаются три раза, и каждый раз переводчик может испытывать трудности:

Такое употребление слов commitment, committed встречается часто: Work in Russia is changing, and competent, committed professionals want to understand how to ensure their organizations’ success.
